About the MAA
The Manitoba Airsoft Association (MAA) is a not for profit organization first registered in 2006. As such, we are Canada's first registered Airsoft association. The MAA includes all types of people from all walks of life, who share a common passion: Airsoft. The MAA is dedicated to safety, fun and furthering the sport of Airsoft in Manitoba. At the same time we aspire to have Airsoft recognized as a legitimate sport in Manitoba and across Canada. The MAA is governed by an executive body which consists of unpaid elected positions (President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and Member Relations Director) plus representatives from each official MAA team. It is the duty of the executive body to ensure positive advancement not only for the present but the future of Airsoft

History
Prior to becoming a registered not for profit organization, the MAA existed as a loosely organized group of teams concentrating solely on enjoying the sport in Manitoba. Over a period of several years, more complex regulations and governance developed and it was eventually decided that steps should be taken to gain a legal footing for Airsoft in Manitoba as well as the rest of Canada. This decision resulted in the creation of the Manitoba Airsoft Association.
